Forest fires have been in the news all year and destruction to not only trees but to homes and businesses has been over whelming for those living in affected areas. Nebraska has been spared those deadly fires this year, but if we have a fire, it can be serious due to low forested areas. I would encourage any clubs or individuals to consider making a donation towards reforestation of affected areas. Go to the National Garden Club website and it will be easy to make a donation. Make a donation in the name of your garden clubs to honor someone in your club or on behalf of an individual to be remembered. A donation is $68.00 Every donation is helpful and appreciated.
